AIDT is seeking applicants for a pre-employment training program for Operators at Eissmann Group Automotive. Eissmann Group is one of the leading international manufacturers of high-end shifter modules, trim components and complete automotive interiors. These positions are available at the company's facility in Pell City, Alabama.
Fills in for other operators in their absence. Trains for all manufacturing operations. Participates in launch of production of new products. Retrains workers and actively participates in the changes in working practices in the implementation and optimization of EPS/Kaizen. High school diploma required. Experience with multiple machines and knowledge of robot processes a plus.
Operates machinery or other equipment in the production of leather/textile pieces. Performs maintenance and cleaning of machinery according to maintenance plan. Informs direct supervisor of observed deficiencies. Ensures each part passed to the next station meets customers' quality expectations. Ability to stand for up to 8 hours a day and ability to lift up to 25 pounds. High school diploma required. Experience with multiple machines and knowledge of robot processes a plus.
Inspects product to internal and customer specific criteria in accordance with customer build forecasts and shipment schedules. Adheres to all quality systems and production requirements. Maintains a positive team attitude. Cross-trains on all stations in multiple areas and meets requirements of same. Meets daily productivity goals of assigned area. Uses specified tools such as thickness gauges, calipers, micrometer, color-spectrophotometer, Macbeth light booth, CMM gauges, etc., to ensure product acceptability. Inspects leather/textiles to ensure product is free of defects. High school diploma required.
Operates various sewing machines (brands and styles). Conducts routine sewing machine maintenance such as thread, needle, blade and bobbin changes, cleaning of thread or textile remnants from casings and oiling of machines. Ability to stand for up to 8 hours a day and ability to lift up to 25 pounds. Knowledge of sewing processes and different types of sewing techniques and materials. Experience with multiple sewing machines is a plus. Minimum of 1 year of industrial sewing experience.
Performs wrapping and edge folding of leather and vinyl, trimming and all other processing products according to working instructions. Informs direct supervisor of any observed deficiencies. Must be reliable, punctual, precise and willing to work overtime.
